July 1, 2019 Topic: Workshop on repotting your orchids

This workshop will consist of three different segments on re-potting different types of orchids.

• Laurie Stoner will show us how to repot paphiopedilum and phragmipediums. If we are lucky she will tell us a bit about the culture too!

•  Cathy Lewis will share her knowledge on repotting different types of dendrobiums. Cathy has worked with Roy Tokunaga, owner of H&R Nursery in Hawaii, for many years and has gleamed much insight about this genera of orchid.

• Micah Dault will show us a few different techniques in ways to mount and or display our orchids. Micah will challenge us to think out-of-the-box.

Any SOS member who comes will receive a baby orchid, from a compot, to take home and grow. We will see who flowers this first!
