May 7th Meeting, Bruce Mickelson, Topic: Safe handling and usage of insecticides

Due to Selby scheduling conflicts our meeting will be held on Tuesday, the 7th, instead of Monday.
Speaker: Bruce Mikkelson
| Bruce Mikkelson is the former owner and operator of B&L Landscape Services and Nurseries in New Jersey, where he was a licensed pesticide applicator for many years. He has been growing orchids for over 40 years and has traveled to many countries in Central and South America and Southeast Asia, photographing and salvaging orchids from forests being cut. The program will discuss pesticide safety tailored to the needs of orchid growers of all levels of experience, with a special consideration of orchid fungicides. Even if you don’t use any pesticides you will become a better orchid grower because of Bruce’s hands-on understanding of orchids within the larger context of good cultural practices and basic botany. |
